SMECO Increases Customer Engagement with Upgraded Notifi and iMobile Solutions

Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative (SMECO) provides electric service to all of Charles and St. Mary’s counties, with the exception of the northern tip of Calvert County and the southern portion of Prince George’s County. This case study discusses the recent upgrades SMECO made to its Notifi and iMobile implementations and how the changes increased customer engagement while also improving customer service.

This case study discusses the challenges that were facing SMECO and the solutions that were implemented to address those challenges. The products that were upgraded include both Notifi Alerts and Preference Management and iMobile. The launch of these solutions saw an improvement in customer service, new cost efficiencies, and increased alert enrollments and app downloads.
