From his humble beginnings running a business from his mother’s basement, to the multi-million dollar company it has become today, “The People’s Shark” Daymond John is widely recognized for his accomplishments as an entrepreneur and branding expert. He is an industry leader, best-selling author, and groundbreaking entrepreneurial expert and has evolved into a highly sought after business and motivational speaker.
Using then unprecedented guerilla marketing and branding techniques, Daymond pioneered the art of integrating fashion, culture, and music nearly 20 years ago. After spending nearly 4 years as the Chief Customer Officer for JEA, Monica Whiting joined Tampa Electric Company (TECO) as the Vice President of Customer Experience in 2017. She has more than 20 years of utility experience in customer service, communications, and product development at utilities, including Colorado Springs Utilities and Anaheim Public Utilities.
Monica was involved with the research, development, and roll-out of a new branding initiative with Anaheim Public Utilities called “The Anaheim Advantage” that was designed to distinguish the organization’s price and value proposition. Her other extracurricular roles in the industry include serving on various boards such as Leadership Jacksonville, the North Florida Region Red Cross, and the United Way Campaign Cabinet for Northeast Florida in 2014 and 2015.
