KUBRA and Nova Scotia Power Expand Outsourcing Contract
Mississauga, ON — January 7, 2013 — KUBRA, a customer interaction management solution provider, today announced it has signed a new agreement with Nova Scotia Power. Nova Scotia Power, an Emera Company, provides electricity to 490,000 residential, commercial, and industrial customers in Nova Scotia. The new agreement expands our existing bill print and mail and e-billing services to include one-time credit card payment and mobile e-billing solutions.
KUBRA has been providing document print and mailing services, document management, and e-billing solutions to Nova Scotia Power for over eight years. This new agreement extends those services and adds a number of new online services including on-demand one-time payments (via web, call center, and IVR), mobile e-billing, secure email delivery and payment, and support for the epost e-bill consolidator network. All of our services will be tightly integrated with the Nova Scotia Power CIS platform and existing banking relationships. With the addition of these new services, Nova Scotia Power will have four distinct e-billing channels in place for its customers and a new on-demand payment offering. Nova Scotia Power has over 90,000 customers enrolled in its e-billing solution today and looks to extend that number dramatically with the addition of three new e-billing options.
“It has been a pleasure working with Nova Scotia Power for the past eight years, and we are excited to make mobile e-billing solutions available to their customers,” said Rick Watkin, President and CEO of KUBRA. “Mobile billing solutions are not only a convenient method of receiving financial documents and making payments for NSP customers, they are built for Nova Scotia Power on a reliable, scalable, and secure industry-leading technology platform.”
“Nova Scotia Power is pleased to be able to offer customers more payment and electronic billing options. We continue to listen to our customers and understand providing options is important to customers. It is a pleasure to work with an innovative organization like KUBRA, who consistently advance interactive solutions focused on client and customer satisfaction,” said Sandy McIsaac, Manager, Operations, Meter, Inspection & Billing Services with Nova Scotia Power.
