Storm Center goes live at Pepco

iFactor’s industry leading outage communication product, Storm Center, has been released at Pepco. The Microsoft Virtual Earth-based maps delivered by Storm Center will now help Pepco customers, the media, and government officials throughout the Washington, DC metro area access near real-time outage details. It is available seven days a week, 24 hours a day. Public Site: http://www.pepco.com/home/emergency/maps/stormcenter/ The site includes estimated restoration times, cause information, outage start time and customers effected for each outage. It also displays the crew status for each incident using a hard-hat icon as well as detailed information in the mouse-over. Additional functionality and details are provided through an Intranet portal built with Storm Center  for use by authorized employees on the Pepco network.
