Webinar Recording Available: Mapping Restoration in Hurricane Season 2017
The last several months have been described as a “hyperactive” hurricane season, as one of only six years on record to feature multiple Category 5 hurricanes. The United States was first rocked by Hurricane Harvey, which was then quickly followed by Hurricanes Irma, Maria, and Nate. Altogether, the storms caused a total of 13 million power outages, and utilities were left scrambling to quickly restore power.
KUBRA recently held a webinar to discuss this hurricane season and how utilities kept customers informed both before, during, and after the storm. KUBRA had many clients in the affected areas with active Storm Center outage maps and Notifi alerts and preference management implementations. The webinar will also discuss how these tools were used by clients, as well as highlighting Storm Center key functionality and its quick, six-week implementation time.
