iFactor Announces Completion of SOC 2 Data Security Audit

TEMPE, Arizona (March 20, 2013) – iFactor Consulting, Inc., a leading provider of customer communications solutions for the utilities sector, announced it has completed a Service Organization Control (SOC) 2 Type 2 audit. The audit of iFactor’s system and controls included a detailed review of data security, availability, and confidentiality. The SOC 2 Type 2 report demonstrates iFactor’s commitment to the highest standards of operational excellence, security levels, system integrity, and application and data controls for information from its utility customers.

Independent auditors from Assure Professional conducted an extensive and highly-detailed audit which determined that iFactor’s company facilities, cloud-based hosted solutions, information security practices, operations, policies, and procedures met or surpassed the rigorous SOC 2 standards for security, availability, and confidentiality. “iFactor understands the value of customer privacy. We have streamlined our processes and procedures to serve our customers and make sure we keep data security a priority,” said Shazir Khan, iFactor’s CEO and president. “Conducting this SOC 2 audit demonstrates our commitment to our customers.”

The SOC 2 Type 2 audit report distinguishes iFactor’s service organization by demonstrating the establishment of strict control objectives and effectively designed procedural activities for its software development and hosted-solutions activities. The same audit report used by Amazon Web Services and Google, SOC 2 validates the security of infrastructures and services and is rapidly becoming an industry standard.
