KUBRA Announces Utility Award Winners at iConnect 2019
KUBRA announced the winners of its utility client awards during our recent iConnect 2019 client conference held March 26-28 in Nashville, TN. iConnect is KUBRA’s annual conference hosted by KUBRA that brings together utility clients to learn about technology trends, hear updates on KUBRA products, and network with industry peers.
This year, more than 160 attendees, representing 58 utilities across North America, gathered together to discuss how they are working to improve customer experiences at their utilities. During the conference, KUBRA honored utilities who exemplify forward-thinking and customer-centric solutions. The following utilities were selected as award winners:
SMECO won the Illuminating Innovation Award for its KUBRA IQ natural language processing project that allows customers to interact with the utility using a Facebook Messenger chatbot.
Oncor won the Electrifying Delivery Award for its Notifi implementation that removed the double opt-in requirement for clients to receive alerts regarding outage communications.
JEA won the Glowing Engagement Award for its Storm Center map, Notifi messaging, and Outage Reporting and Status projects that offer storm-mode-specific behaviors that make customer communications more meaningful.
TECO Energy won the Inspiring Energy Award for its KUBRA EZ-PAY implementation with customized convenience fees, text message payment confirmations, and live transfers to CSRs.
In total, twelve utilities were recognized as finalists for these awards—and each showed impressive project results. KUBRA is proud to partner with these utilities to implement solutions that help improve customer experiences and lead the industry in the technology evolution.
