TEMPE, Arizona (June 5, 2014) – Vermont utility company Green Mountain Power recently launched a pilot of its new smart grid program designed to allow customers to track their real-time power usage and control smart devices in their homes. Using the iPhone application, participants can view their daily, hourly and real-time energy consumption and control power to devices connect to the smart plug. The pilot program, which includes a test group of 25 Green Mountain Power employees, educators, and customers, is expected to last two to three months.
