We are thrilled to announce that Haben Girma will be the opening keynote speaker at iConnect 2024. Set to take place from October 28-30, 2024, in vibrant Austin, Texas, our conference brings together KUBRA clients from across North America for several days of learning and peer-to-peer knowledge sharing.
Haben Girma, the first Deafblind person to graduate from Harvard Law School, is a leading American disability rights advocate, speaker, and author. Recognized for her tireless work in championing equal opportunities, particularly in accessibility, education, and technology, Haben has received numerous accolades for her advocacy efforts. With a passion for breaking down barriers, she illuminates the importance of accessibility across various domains. Her powerful presentations motivate audiences worldwide to support accessibility and contribute to fostering a more inclusive society.
At iConnect, Haben will delve into “Prioritizing Accessibility.” In her own words, “People with disabilities represent the largest historically underrepresented group, numbering over one billion worldwide. Reaching a group of this scale creates value for everyone.” She emphasizes the immense value that organizations gain by prioritizing accessibility, including access to a more extensive user base, improved experiences for both disabled and non-disabled users, and opportunities for further innovation.
