As the first deafblind graduate of Harvard Law, Haben Girma’s keynote, Prioritizing Accessibility, was a masterclass in innovation through adversity, leaving attendees excited and inspired. Haben transformed the concept of disability from a perceived limitation into a powerful source of creativity and innovation. Weaving her compelling personal narratives, she highlighted how embracing diverse audiences can lead to groundbreaking breakthroughs.

Legacy in Leadership

Jared Lawrence, Senior Vice President of Customer Operations and Digital Strategy and Chief Customer Officer at Eversource Energy, delivered an inspiring keynote titled “Building a Legacy in Customer Service.” Jared emphasized the concept of legacy, which is often overlooked in customer service. He highlighted integral pillars to cultivating a lasting legacy in organizations and discussed Eversource’s commitment to innovation. Jared’s experiences illuminated his belief in the impact of nurturing talent and the importance of pushing organizations toward greater customer dedication.

Harmonizing Creativity and Uniting Voices

Doug Brown’s keynote presentation, Fearless Collaboration, was a captivating showcase of the transformative power of fearless collaboration. Attendees were immersed in a unique experience: writing and producing a song together. Doug demonstrated how even the simplest ideas could evolve into significant contributions, emphasizing that every input, no matter how small, can spark creativity and innovation.

Austin by Land and Water

iConnect early arrivers were treated to a memorable adventure with Austin Duck Adventures. This unique tour blended the sights of downtown Austin with the natural beauty of Lake Austin. Participants enjoyed the perfect blend of entertainment and education, an engaging experience for everyone aboard.

A Welcome to Remember

Attendees stepped back in time at the 1920s-themed Speakeasy Welcome Reception. Awarded "Best Swanky Joint," this lively venue offered delicious food and themed cocktails served in cowboy boot drinkware, courtesy of Harris Utilities. The atmosphere was electric, with a DJ spinning hits and guests mingling on the dance floor.

Cowboy Hats, Line Dancing, and Music

Attendees experienced an unforgettable evening at the historic Central Machine Works Brewery– a former WWII airplane hangar turned into a brewpub full of industrial charm. Guests enjoyed live music and an instructor-guided introduction to line dancing. Attendees were also gifted with cowboy hats and the opportunity to visit the on-site hat branding station to personalize their look.
